What is it about?

Colon hydrotherapy, also known as colon cleansing or irrigation, involves using water to flush waste from the large intestine. The colon is the large intestine and absorbs water and salts from waste material that has traveled through the body. Colon irrigation consists of inserting a nozzle into the rectum to send water into the colon. The hydrotherapist can control the pressure and temperature of the water, and the entire procedure usually lasts about 45 minutes. Approximately 16 gallons of water pass through the intestine. Modern colon hydrotherapy removes all toxins from the large intestine, unlike an enema.
